The following Austro-Hungarian general officers were listed in the last peacetime edition of the Hungarian Landwehr (Honvéd) army list. Although both the Austrian and Hungarian Landwehr maintained their own separate lists it should be understood that the general officers of both these organizations were k.u.k. generals, that is imperial officers of the common army. When a Landwehr colonel was promoted to general officer rank, he became a k.u.k. general irrespective of his former service or whether he continued to be employed in a Landwehr appointment. In the case of an Hungarian officer this would mean the adoption of the Imperial double eagle on the headdress as opposed to the Hungarian coat of arms worn by regimental officers. The names and ranks are given in the original Hungarian style with surnames preceding forenames and ranks followed by the German language style.
